Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
West Baton Rouge Presbyterian Church is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA , published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
What We've Done
We have taken the following steps to make this site more accessible:
- All pages include a descriptive page title and a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Images include alternative text, or are marked as decorative where appropriate.
- All form inputs are associated with visible labels.
- Navigation landmarks and headings are used to provide a clear page structure.
- The photo gallery viewer supports keyboard navigation (arrow keys, Escape) and traps focus while open.
- Color is not the only means of conveying information (e.g., active navigation links also use underlines).
- The mobile navigation menu is implemented as an accessible dialog with focus management.
- Status messages (such as confirmations and alerts) are announced to screen readers automatically.
Known Limitations
While we work hard to ensure a high level of accessibility, some content may not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. We continue to review and improve our pages on an ongoing basis.
